Unintended Bias Workshop In-Person
The Office of Faculty Development is pleased to announce that Dr. William Cox from the Department of Psychology at University of Wisconsin, Madison, will be presenting at Bryant University on Monday, January 28 from 1-4:30. Dr. Cox is one of a group of faculty at UWM who are leading researchers in unintended or implicit bias. Many university campuses across the nation are experiencing challenges with changing cultural attitudes, particularly with regard to racial and gender issues. Many initiatives to reduce bias actually make problems worse. Come hear Dr. Cox present his evidence-based research about how universities and other organizations can begin to effectively address unintended bias.
