The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI with Tricia Bertram Gallant Online

Join co-author Tricia Bertram Gallant of The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI. This will be a virtual session - all faculty and staff are welcome. Please be sure to register.

GenAI tools like ChatGPT have disrupted our typical ways of facilitating and validating learning in the college classroom. After taking some time to recall our purpose as higher education institutions and to situate ourselves in the realities of our students, Dr. Bertram Gallant will overview three things that are within the sphere of agency of the individual college course instructor: communicating with students, validating learning, and emphasizing mastery oriented classrooms. The talk will conclude with a reminder that this work of reinventing higher education does not fall on the shoulders of instructors alone.

Sponsored through support from the Davis Grant. The grant was received from the Davis Educational Foundation, established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’ retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc.
