Faculty Training: Approaching Generative AI Ethically Online
Please Note: This meeting will close after 10 minutes if no participants have joined.
Generative AI is an exciting new development, and students are already well versed in using the tools. As a result, it is imperative that we encourage students to approach their use of Generative AI ethically and with a mind to the inherent bias in the data. This session will discuss ways to engage in dialogue with students on when it is appropriate to use Generative AI, what the pitfalls are with overreliance, and how they can properly vet the outputs. This session will also discuss about how to approach Generative AI with an ethical eye, using it only when it boosts skills, rather than replacing them.
Sponsored through support from the Davis Grant. The grant was received from the Davis Educational Foundation, established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’ retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc.
