Bryant University’s Second Annual Research Retreat is a day dedicated to exploring the evolving intersections of research, artificial intelligence, and political dynamics. This year’s theme, “Navigating Research within Evolving AI and Political Landscapes,” will guide a series of thought-provoking panels and collaborative discussions.

 Highlights include:

  • Panel 1: Censorship, Resource Constraints, and AI Stigma
    This panel explores how censorship, funding limitations, and the stigma surrounding generative AI impact academic freedom and research integrity.

 

  • Panel 2: Scholarship of Application and Community Involvement
    This panel highlights the importance of applying research to real-world challenges through community engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ethical scholarship.

 

  • Panel 3: Engaging Student Researchers in the Age of AI
    This panel examines how to meaningfully involve undergraduate students in research amid the growing influence of generative AI tools.

 

  • Interactive Brainstorming Sessions with faculty and panelists.
