Unlocking Research Potential: The Role of Generative AI in Student Inquiry Online
This interactive faculty session will examine how generative AI may improve student research and inquiry. Participants will discover how generative AI technologies may help with ideation, question refinement, and information synthesis. We will examine ethical issues, critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs, and approaches to enable students to utilize AI responsibly as a collaborative tool to better understand the research process through case studies and hands-on exercises. Faculty will learn how to integrate generative AI in research projects while retaining academic rigor and cultivating student autonomy.
