Social Media in the Academy In-Person
Why should faculty members develop a professional presence on social media? What are the benefits, and how does one leverage social media effectively? In this hands-on workshop, you will have the opportunity to actually build Twitter and/or LinkedIn accounts. In addition, you will learn about the different ways in which you can use these platforms to engage students and alumni, disseminate your work to other scholars, and learn about work relevant to your teaching and research. Seating in AIC 236 will be limited to 20 participants. You must register if you wish to attend in person.
